Vibration school

The vibrations generated at different kind of faults in machines have different characteristics concerning level and frequency. The direction with the highest vibration level is also varying. By analysing the frequency and level of the vibrations it is possible to find out which type of problem the machine has. The most common faults in machinery are presented below:

Unbalance Misalignment Bent shaft
Mechanical looseness Electrical motor problem Journal bearing problem
Rolling element bearing problem Gear problem Belt problem
Fan problem Pump problem Compressor problem
Turbine problem
